SALT Craft Beer & Coffee is opening in the heart of Market Square, Guernsey — bringing specialist craft beer and high-quality coffee to the island.

We showcase expertly crafted beers from small, independent UK breweries alongside quality coffee from respected roasters. Food is simple and focused: pizzas and light bites prepared by the kitchen team and served alongside the drinks.

This is quality without pretension — from morning coffee through to evening drinks.

We’re now recruiting engaging Bar Staff to join our opening team.

The Role

This role is for people who genuinely enjoy hospitality, not just pulling pints.

You’ll be:

• Serving craft beer and coffee to a high standard

• Confidently serving pizzas and light bites prepared by the kitchen

• Talking to guests about drinks and making recommendations

• Creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere on every shift

• Working efficiently and calmly during busy services

• Taking pride in standards, cleanliness, and teamwork

What We’re Looking For

• Previous bar or coffee experience preferred

• Real passion for hospitality, drinks, and guest experience

• Interest in craft beer and quality coffee (training provided)

• Natural people skills and positive energy

• A proactive mindset — you don’t wait to be told

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

• Strong reliability and work ethic

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks efficiently and accurately

• Comfortable using POS and cash-handling systems (training provided where needed)

• Strong guest engagement skills, delivering friendly, professional service

• Good spoken English required to communicate clearly with guests and colleagues

• Good understanding of cleanliness, food safety, and safe food handling standards

• Confident with cash handling, card payments, and basic cashiering procedures

• Responsible approach to alcohol service and guest safety

• Ability to restock and maintain bar supplies, glassware, and service areas during shifts

• Works well as part of a team, particularly during busy services and events

• Previous bar or coffee experience preferred
