Location: Isles of Scilly on the main island of St Mary’s, off the coast of Cornwall, UK.
Introduction: We are a small independent, family run Hotel with just 22 guest bedrooms, accommodating approximately 40 people at peak times. We have a small team of multi-skilled staff who all work together, but also individually dependent on the shift. We offer two meal services per day; breakfast and dinner. On a Wednesday, the restaurant does not open for evening meal. There is no lunch service within our Hotel.
Being multi-skilled, our staff work in various departments in a split shift pattern to make up their roles to full time hours. The departments are Restaurant, Bar, Reception, and Housekeeping. We have a couple of dedicated full time housekeeping staff members who take on the majority of this particular section.
We offer accommodation for our staff within the main Hotel in dedicated staff rooms.
Please note: We have only one position left available to fill, and therefore this role will not suit applicants who are wishing to travel/work as a couple.

Hours: 48 Hours Per Week
6 Days Per Week
One Day Off Per Week
Split Shifts
Wages: £13.50 per Hour, Paid Into Bank Account Monthly
Live-In: £40 Per Week (Deducted from Wages)
End Of Season Bonus: £40 per week (Paid at end of season, October), so essentially free board/lodgings
Provided: Accommodation, Breakfast & Dinner, Use of Laundry, Towels, Bedding
Duties:
This position offers great job versatility and an opportunity to work in various departments.
The successful candidate must be a team player and be able to work both with colleagues and alone.
Restaurant/Bar: Waiting on tables, taking/serving food & drink orders, and serving guests at Breakfast & Dinner Service. (No lunch service). Set-up & close-down bar/restaurant. (Bar closes 9pm)
Early Evening Bar/Reception: Reception cover; Helping guests, checking-in guests, answering phone & taking messages.
(Housekeeping: A small amount of housekeeping may be involved within this role. This is yet to be determined, dependant on the applicant who is successful.)
