We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various settings, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and organise furnishings as required.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials.
- Perform janitorial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly.
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning or window washing when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding politely and efficiently to guest or client requests.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for customer interaction.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
- Nice-to-have skills include experience in cooking or providing customer service in hospitality settings. The Arisaig Hotel sits on the edge of the sheltered Loch nan Ceall, in the small village of Arisaig, on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.
The Hotel caters to International and National tourists as well as local trade. The Hotel offers for 30 people over it's 13 bedrooms, s well as food and beverage available in 3 areas of the Hotel.
