The Queens Oak is 6 months into revitalisation as a destination eatery with its new Chef and Landlord.  The core aim is to deliver excellent service matching the quality of food in a relaxed Public House atmosphere.   This is a flexible opportunity for someone to step up and join a growing business and develop an amazing experience for our guests, relaxed, friendly, and consistent for them, efficient for the business.

The Front of House Manager should have a friendly and professional approach with “hands on” capability.  This needs to be coupled with the vision to make a difference, and the ability to deliver underpinned by a passion for the hospitality industry and proven organisational skills. The successful applicant will oversee the daily delivery of the high-quality service, while managing and consolidating further growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a mix of:

  • Previous experience at Restaurant/PH FOH with some supervisory experience.
  • Integrity in relevant processes (Stock management, cash management)
  • Ability to promote a good first and last impression.
  • Duty, roster, and event management.
  • The ability to recruit, train, and manage high quality supporting staff to deliver consistent excellence. 
  • IT capability in Excel for internal reporting and Social Media for external communications. 
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to respond positively to a pressurised environment and adopt a positive approach to problem solving. 
  • Flexible approach to duties and working hours 
  • Friendly, approachable manner and team player.
