We are a small hotel in a small town with a popular bar and restaurant downstairs. The Hotel was taken over 2 years ago by the current landlords and it has gone from strength to strength, proving to be the most popular place to eat in town. The majority of our sales revenue comes from the bar and restaurant. We have experienced great success with our lunchtime services but we feel that there is still room for improvement in the evening dinner service and the accommodation side of the business.

We are looking for an experienced individual who would be capable of running the hotel during the evenings. Both breakfast and lunch service will be run by the two managing directors. You would be responsible for running the hotel from around 3pm onwards most days. We do have a stable of young part time staff which work most evenings, so you would be responsible for managing them as well as working in the bar/restaurant yourself.

The hotel closes every night around 11pm and you would be responsible for locking up, cashing up and filling out the end of day reports etc.

We are willing to give the right individual the sufficient level of freedom to implement any new ideas/strategies that they may have.

We also offer a hotel room to stay in free of charge and we do not charge our full time staff for food or drink from the restaurant, so you will have no outgoings if staying on site.

The position also comes with two full days off a week (often very rare in the trade).
