Front of house Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Manager to oversee the day to day running of our beautiful pub.

Boasting a fresh, seasonal menu, children's play park, four brand new letting rooms and newly refurbished bar & restaurant there is huge potential to drive the business forward.

Customer Service is at the forefront of everything we do. We want to create a home from home for our customers, welcoming tourists, locals, families and dogs into our cosy pub.

We pride ourselves on offering great quality food and service, so the successful candidates must be able to deliver a great menu, and offer an excellent level of customer care alongside it.

You will be responsible for managing and training a small team of staff, and will show enthusiasm when promoting the business, researching new innovative ideas and actively driving it forward.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to who wants to be part of a team in a growing business, and you will be responsible for running the bar on a day to day basis with a hands on approach.

The ideal candidate will:

• Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Effectively manage the bar/service areas
• Have complete understanding of Menu’s at all times
• Prepare drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic

• Train and develop the bar team to a high standard
• Provide an exceptional level of customer care and food service in line with our company policy

The ideal candidate will have worked within a similar busy food led environment, and have experience of cellar management/real ales.

Salary £25,000-£28,000 per annum

Head Chef

We are looking for a Head Chef for our beautiful and well reputed establishment in Milnthorpe.

The successful applicant will be able to create their own menus within the perimeters of using locally sourced suppliers and produce with menus changing seasonally.

The Head Chef that takes on this role will have previously worked within a gastro pub style kitchen serving fresh food of a high standard and will be passionate about the dishes and plates that they create, using the best possible ingredients.

We are looking for the successful candidate to:

• oversee the planning and development of menus
• Placing orders and maintaining specified standards of food handling and storage procedures.
• To lead by example and manage the kitchen operation assuming overall responsibilities.
• Undertake and assist with training and development of the kitchen brigade.
• Be calm of collected under pressure during busy periods
• Work closely with the fantastic front of our house team.
• Have high standards of cleanliness and experience in following good food hygiene practises
• Be willing to work with a team who go over and above the expectations of the customers - always with the ethos that nothing is too much trouble.

Salary £28,000 - £35,000 per annum 

Live in is available in a luxury 2 bed apartment above the pub and comes with no deduction to your salary. 

Couples & friends welcome to apply as well as single applicants however, if single applicants are successful the flat will become shared accommodation.
