The Eltermere Inn is a stunning 13 bedroom country house hotel nestled in the beautiful Langdale Valley in the village of Elterwater. We are surrounded by the majestic Langdale Pikes and have uninterrupted views over the lake at Eltermere yet situated only five miles from Ambleside and two and a half miles from Grasmere.

We are looking for a friendly, energetic and customer focused person who will enjoy working as part of a small, friendly team providing first class service to our guests and customers. The job involves early and late shifts and is very much a 'hands on' position, so bring your enthusiasm and a desire to develop great relationships. 



  • Waiting on tables
  • Taking bookings for tables and accommodation
  • Taking food and drinks orders
  • Preparing and serving drinks in the bar
  • Checking guests in/out
  • General kitchen duties
  • Maintaining clean and hygienic work areas and practices


Skills & Experience:


  • Self-motivated and keen to be a strong team member
  • A good communicator who can work calmly during busy times
  • An organised person who works quickly, cleanly and efficiently
  • A friendly and flexible person
