We are looking for a cleaner/pot washer to join our small team. Duties would include washing dishes, assisting with cleaning the bar and restaurant, helping with other cleaning duties in the bed and breakfast and around the campsite as needed. Good timekeeping and a friendly nature in addition to the skill and confidence to work alone as well as alongside others are essential.
If you like the outdoors this is a fabulous location to live and work as you can enjoy the beautiful lakes and walks straight from the door on your days off. Live-in accommodation is available with a private bedroom and shared shower and kitchen facilities at a cost of £50.00 per week.
We are a family business with a hardworking and friendly team in place.
This position is available for immediate start as we anticipate continuing to be busy over the next few months. The average working week would comprise of a mixture of split and straight shifts covering breakfast, lunch and dinner totalling approximately 40 hours over 5 or 6 days a week. We expect the role to finish at the end of September or October, although we may look to extend the contact if circumstances allow.
In the heart of the Dovedale Valley, surrounded by Dove Crag, Hart Crag and Fairfield with Brotherswater nearby, Sykeside is an inspiring location for Lake District camping, offering stunning views wherever you pitch.
We are the perfect spot for walking, whether you fancy a short stroll around Brotherswater or a full day's hike up High Street, as many footpaths leave right from our doorstep. Our central location makes us ideal for exploring the Lake District and Cumbria, whether it be on foot or by car. Alternatively, for those who wish to relax, why not sample a pint or two of local ale at the Brotherswater Inn whilst enjoying the stunning views of Dove Crag.
For brave campers we are open all year round (with the exception of the Christmas period) in all weathers, so why not join us for a spot of ice-climbing or winter walking, or perhaps just relaxing by the fire in the pub!
We are dog friendly, so anyone with four legs is very welcome in the bunkhouse, on the campsite, in both bars and in the shop. We do, however, ask that dogs are kept on a lead and under control as the local sheep and deer are a little more nervous than ourselves.
